An exhibition of a recently discovered cache of photographs and negatives dating from 1943 - 1966. Each photograph tells a story, taken together they are a rich chronicle of Corsicana, Navarro County, and Texas. The exhibition marks the first time this accidental time capsule will be on view.
DUST is curated by photographer Allison V. Smith and Michael Thomas editor and publisher of 1814 MAGAZINE.

Student Workshop
November 4, 11, and 18, 2023

In support of the DUST exhibition and in collaboration with Navarro Council of the Arts, photographer Allison V. Smith will offer a hands on photography program for CISD students. Participants will learn about the DUST exhibition from the curators and will be given black and white film cameras with the assignment of documenting their lives in 27 frames. Upon completion of the assignment the film will be processed and prints made by Photographique Dallas. A special review and showing of the images will be held at the Palace Theatre in Corsicana at the completion of the project.

Full Frame Foundation welcomes Henry Horenstein artist, photographer, filmmaker, author and professor of photography at Rhode Island School of Design. Horenstein will be discussing his books Close Relations and We Sort of People drawing parallels to the photographs in the DUST archive surrounding family bonds, friendships, and community.
